DA0115RC – linear motion track with recirculating ball carriage

Accuride’s new linear motion guide – the DA0115RC, an aluminium track with recirculating ball carriage, has been designed for areas where precision linear slides may be over engineered for the job and therefore expensive.
Aimed at cost-sensitive applications involving any length of travel and designs where space constraints must be considered, this linear motion slide offers up to 120kg load rating, depending on the orientation and number of ball carriages used.
Accuride’s linear slide offers the user complete flexibility and simplicity. The aluminium track comes in 2 lengths; 1.2 and 2.4m, which can be cut to the required length and fixing holes drilled as needed. The ball carriages and end stops are sold separately so that the end user can use as many as necessary for their particular application. An infinite length of track is achieved by butting the tracks together, supplying linear motion that is limited only by the length of the rail. For added stability the track ends can be pinned together.
There are 2 ball bearing options. Carriages with stainless steel balls offer the maximum load rating. Alternatively, carriages with polymer balls are grease-free for a clean and maintenance free operation with the added advantage of a quiet and smooth movement.
This linear system has a number of features to make installation very easy. The tracks have drilling marks for both the fixing holes and for the end stops. Also a drilling jig can be bought separately to allow the accurate and permanent pinning together of tracks.
Load rating
The slide has been tested in Accuride’s UK laboratory where the track was fixed in different orientations and fitted with 1, 2 or 3 ball carriages to gauge the load capacity. Tested over 50,000 metres, this linear motion slide has proved to be exceptionally robust with loads of between 30 and 120kg.
Although not suitable for high torque applications, the DA0115RC can be used horizontally or vertically and is suitable for industrial automation, sliding doors, movable screens and safety guards or control panels.

The DA4160 telescopic slide delivers a huge 300kg load rating with full extension in light weight, corrosion resistant, aluminium. This is a stock slide available off-the-shelf in 12 lengths from 300 to 1000mm.

Testing
Accuride’s heavy duty slides are designed to deliver sustained and reliable performance. All our slides undergo stringent tests, including dynamic cycle testing, static overload and slam tests. The load rating is based on slides mounted 600mm apart, although these slides are suitable for wider applications – please ask your hardware supplier or Accuride for technical support. End stops have been tested to 10 cycles, with the nominated loads, at 0.8m/s. Due to the heavy loads and types of applications that this slide has been designed for, we recommend that you test the slide in the intended application and provide additional end stops. We recommend that quality grease, rated for extreme pressure, is re-applied at 2,000 cycle intervals.
Accuride adds new 7957 heavy duty telescopic slide to Quick Ship range

The 7957 is a heavy duty slide with a front disconnect being able to separate the slide members makes installation easy. This is an important consideration when installing slides into wide drawers. The slide is also suitable for flat mounting – please see the datasheet for details of load ratings.
The 634xx platform mounting brackets may be used for side or bottom mounting. The fixings included will not fit the 7957 slide. We recommend using M6 countersunk screws, or order a fixing kit from Accuride, order code 22409611.

3832AA Action-Assist™: Lends a Hand to Open and Close Drawers

Accuride presents Action-Assist™, a telescopic slide that helps the user open and close drawers with ease. Based on natural elastic energy, the product is straightforward to install, intuitive, and economical. The user starts the opening and closing action and the slide does the rest. When the drawer is opened, at about the mid-point of travel the assisting forces balance, resulting in a neutral zone where the drawer remains in a steady position. Once the drawer is further extended to about two-thirds of its travel, the slide finishes the opening process. Conversely, as the drawer is pushed inward past the neutral zone, the Action-Assist™ kicks in and pulls the drawer closed.
Cabinetmakers will find this slide easy to install; it does not require electricity to operate and there are no wires or transformers. Other than minor drawer box changes, installation is very similar to a standard, side mount 3832 full extension slide. The Action-Assist™ slide is an affordable solution for those seeking assisted drawer opening and closing. This product also supplies an upgrade that adds value to new or remodeling projects such as residential kitchens or commercial store fixtures. The Action-Assist™ has a 45 kg load rating, a lever disconnect and Accuride’s signature cam drawer front adjustment for easy installation.
